Prayers not yet answered, lose to Red Hots, 22-2

Praying For A Win needs to get with St. Matt's and find out why their prayers haven't been answered.   Still looking for that first win, they lose to the Red Hots, 22-2 in a shortened 4 inning match.

With I'd Hit That losing earlier Sunday, this places the Red Hots in a nice position in their hopes of a playoff berth.

A win in their next game, coupled with another I'd Hit That loss, will give the Red Hots a playoff berth.

DEFENSE

You gotta love this team.

Sweater Puppies came out with their entire arsenal, launching hit after hit both infield and into very deep outfield, but the Red Hots silenced all but two runs to win it 8-2.

Ivan had a perfect game going until the 4th inning with 2 outs when Sweater Puppies found a base hit into right center.

The Red Hots have jumped over Sweater Puppies in the standings as they fall to 6-2-1, both losses to the Red Hots

Brian's HR lifts Red Hots

Bottom of the 3rd inning, score is 4-4, with 2 outs...

Ron pops up in what appears to be an easy out for I'd Hit That's first baseman....

But the softball gods had other plans....

Their first baseman bobbled the ball during his catch which fell to the ground..and the Rally Monkey makes his appearance...

Ron G's safe at first, Jaime had a professional at-bat and walks on balls.  Brian "B-lohana" Kerr crushes one to right center for a 3-run home run. The Red Hots defense locked it down and kept I'd Hit That to 6 runs, winning the game 7-6.  Honorable mentions to Minh and Jazz going for a combined 6 for 6!

The Red Hots have sole possession of 1st place in the standings!
