Season Opener Shutout

The team is back and it couldn't have gone better.
With six runs in the first three innings, Red Hots left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
RBI singles by Jazz Smith, Ashley Smith, and Josh Hendren during the second inning helped the Red Hots put some runs on the board early.
Brian Kerr had a memorable day.  He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.
Red Hots hammered St. Matt's pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 21 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
They increased their lead with three runs in the third. A clutch passed ball scored Kaitlyn Randall to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Ivan Perez's double, plating Kerr and Teresa Hendren.
Red Hots added four more runs in the top of the fifth. Jazz Smith singled, plating Perez to start the inning. That was followed up by Ashley's single, scoring Jazz.
A team known for their defense came up strong behind Ivan and Ron's pitching, shutting St Matt's 16-0.  This was the Red Hots 2nd shutout in franchise history.  Their first was back in Sep 16th 2006 defeating Half & Half  19-0.

Tie

Team Red Hots were EN FUEGO in the first inning, batting around while scoring 8 runs....

But wait...you CANT score more than 7 runs per inning (Recreational Rule) -  The umpire ended the bottom of the 1st with only 1 out recorded....

WHAT A BUZZ KILL

Unfortunately, the Red Hots lost their mojo and could only muster 2 more runs for the rest of the game.  Meanwhile, Dan's Rejects rallied back to tie the game 10-10.

Fortunately this game didnt matter since the Red Hots finished with a better record than Dan's Rejects.  They finish 1st in their classification.

We'll see you Wednesday, Nov 2nd for the FALL PLAYOFFS

Good News, Bad News

Bad News: The Red Hots could not gain enough momentum in this one, losing to Last Call 12-4. Credit to Jazz for providing all 4 RBIs which included a 3-run homer.

Good News:  The Red Hots have earned a playoff berth in the Fall Recreational Playoffs!

Last game of the regular season will be this coming Sunday against Dan's Rejects.

Red Hots Rally For Win

The Red Hots jumped out to a 6-1 lead, but Team Regulators came back late in the game, taking the lead 13-12.  Fortunately the Red Hots had a couple more runs in them.  In the bottom of the 6th, Minh and Ivan scored thanks to Janis and Josh's walk off single, winning it 14-13.
