Amy Cycles to Lead Red Hots

Amy McClure becomes the first female player in Red Hots history to complete the cycle! She started with a home run and triple as the team batted around in the 3rd inning. In the fifth, she got her single. In the sixth inning, she hit a line drive out to right field, in which the fielder quickly caught. However, Amy's speed and aggressiveness got her to second safely to capture the cycle. The team went on to win the game 25-7 against Grand Cru.

Red Hots Clinch Playoff Berth In Rare Fashion

The Red Hots clinched a playoff spot in a way that the team has never done before. A Triple Play. With runners on 1st and 2nd...a short fly was hit by Tower Grille in which Jazz Smith was able to speed his way under the ball to make the catch. Either Tower Grille felt the ball was surely going to fall to the ground, or perhaps just a base running error, were well off to their next base and had to make a run back to their original bases. Jazz threw to Josh at 1st for the second out, and Josh then threw the ball to Rachel at 2nd to complete the triple play. A first for the Red Hots!

Best Season at WCASI

The Red Hots made it to the Championship, but unfortunately lost twice to the East Bay Gobblers, 7-12 and 6-9. This is the deepest that the Red Hots have been in the Walnut Creek playoffs. The team has gotten a taste of what its like to be in the Final, and will build upon that next summer.
