Red Hots Prepare for the Playoffs

The Red Hots ended their season with an 8-9 loss, but this does not affect their 2nd place finish in their division.  They will start the playoffs next Sunday, November 3rd.

Red Hots Tie, Secure 2nd Place

The Red Hots had a tough battle against Patriots Parents, ending their game in a 14-14 tie.   They've secured no worse than a 2nd place finish in their division.

There is still a slight chance for 1st overall with a Red Hots win over Wildcats, and a Last Call loss or tie against Alley Cats.

Tie breaker would be based on run differential since Last Call and Red Hots did not meet during the season.  Currently the Red Hots have a better run differential.

Shorthanded Red Hots Win, Remain Undefeated

With 8 players on the field, the Red Hots managed to break free from a 5-5 tie in the top of the 7th by rallying for five more runs, winning the game 10-5 over the Alley Cats. All of the Red Hots hits were singles except for two doubles by Jazz Smith. The team is now 5-0 going into a bye week with two more games left in the season.

Red Hots Outlast Double Trouble

It was all offense today.  High scoring back and forth.  Fortunately, the Red Hots were the home team and had the last laugh, winning it 20-19 thanks to Jazz Smith's clutch single in the 6th inning.   This brings their record to a clean 2-0.

Season Opener...Red Hot!

Perhaps the Red Hots may have been the ones to start that Mt. Diablo fire (okay, lame topical joke)

The team exploded for 17 runs behind 4 home runs, two by Josh, along with Ivan & Kaitlyn getting theirs.  The defense did their job only allowing 2 runs.

Great start to the Fall season!

It's Gotta Be The Shoes!

The Red Hots lived up to their name as they were red hot defeating Double Pray, 17-1.  Jazz, Minh & Teresa each hit a home run to lead the team to an impressive win.

With the win, the Red Hots have jumped back into the #4 spot and will need to either Win or Tie next Sunday against I'd Hit That to clinch a playoff berth.

One Down, Two To Go

With a 15-2 win, the Red Hots still hold their own fate for playoff contention. Two games remain in the season. They're looking for a little revenge against St. Matt's Double Pray next Sunday.

Red Hots Lose a Tough One

With I'd Hit That losing Sunday, the Red Hots had a chance to jump back into the #4 spot with a win over Wolfpack.  Unfortunately, costly defensive errors in the 1st inning and a so-so offensive attack prevented the Red Hots from doing this, losing to Wolfpack 8-5.

The Red Hots are (1-4-1) in their past six games. Outside of that win, the Red Hots have averaged 4.8 runs per game.

The team is holding a "Players Only" meeting this Sunday, July 30th to see if they can rebound from this rut and finish strong in the final three games of the regular season.  Most likely, they will need to win out in order to qualify for the playoffs.

Pitcher's Duel - Red Hots Tie Family Ties, 2-2

It was a rare defensive treat Sunday.  Both teams hit solo home runs and a base hit RBI to finish 2-2.  Great hits followed by great defensive plays.  It was one for the ages!

Bounce Back Win

The Red Hots opened the second half of the season with a solid win over Going Out Swinging, 13-4.

This improves their record to 5-3 and have a hold of 4th place.

Next week:  Family Ties

Double Cycle

The Red Hots had no problems winning their fourth game of the season by routing the Lolligaggers by a score of 18-7. The highlight of the night was a first for the Red Hots. Not once, but twice! Jazz Smith and Josh Hendren hit for the cycle going a combined 9 for 10, 7 runs & 6 RBI's. Congratulations!!

Takin Care of Business, 13-4

Solid win by the Red Hots, bouncing back against the Wolfpack winning it 13-4.  An all around team effort in this one.  Red Hots are now 3-1 in this young season.  Good for a 2nd place tie.

Winning Streak Snapped

Last week was a defensive showcase.  This week was all about the offense.  Unfortunately Last Call was the home team and was able to pass by the Red Hots in the final inning to win it 16-15.  Red Hots look to rebound next Sunday against the Wolfpack.

The Buttermaker Show - Red Hots Streak Reaches 11

Ron G showed off his glove with diving catches at short and bat with a 2-run home run to ignite the team to a 7-6 win over last summer's champion, Family Ties.  It was an instant ESPN Classic when the game came down to a 3-2 pitch in the bottom of the 7th inning with the bases loaded for Family Ties.  Thankfully the final pitch was a called strike with the batter looking.

This puts the Red Hots at (2-0) and extends their winning streak to a record 11 straight games.

Red Hots Win Season Opener

Sure things got a little too interesting at the end, but the important stat of the day was the big "W". The Red Hots by winning their season opener have extended their franchise winning streak to 10 wins thanks to a 7-0 Fall 2012 record, along with two wins in the Fall Playoffs. "It's so nice to see everyone after such a long break" said third baseman Janis Gomes.

We couldn't have said it any better, JJ.
